军火商是个一旦以下条件全部满足就会出现的 NPC：

• 有一间空房屋。
• 玩家在其物品栏中至少有一个子弹或发射子弹的枪（存放在宝箱之类收纳物品中的枪不算）。

如果军火商被杀，他只会在以上条件再次满足时才会重生。

在 Desktop version,  Console version,  Mobile version,  Nintendo Switch version, and  tModLoader version中，当受到敌怪的威胁时，军火商会用燧发枪来自卫。一旦困难模式开始，他会升级为用迷你鲨来自卫。他在困难模式之前中会造成 24 / 36 / 42（困难模式中降低至 15 / 22 / 26 伤害，但提高了开火频率来补偿），并且 （在 Desktop version,  Console version,  Mobile version, and  Nintendo Switch version上）随着玩家的进程推进，他会得到各种属性提升。

小贴士

• 要获取有效的枪最简单的办法是砸掉在腐化之地或猩红之地中的暗影珠或猩红之心。在第一次这么干时总是会相应地掉落火枪或夺命枪。
  • 火枪和夺命枪也分别能在腐化匣和猩红匣中找到。
• 其他合格的早期枪包括：
  • 三发猎枪（来自丛林匣和常春藤箱）
  • 莱德（来自礼物）。
• 信号枪及其照明弹不符合条件。
• 你还可以从派对女孩处得到子弹。举行派对时购买猪龙彩罐，其中掉下的子弹就足够了。

花絮

• 名字 Brimst 可能参考了 brimstone（硫磺），它是火药的成分之一。
• 他似乎对护士和树妖都有好感。这可以从他关于与护士约会的话和树妖关于他对其调情的话之中看出。他还挑逗机械师，根据她的话语中提到的“压力板”。但是他似乎对护士更有兴趣。
