松露人是出售各種蘑菇主題物品的困難模式 NPC 商販。要讓松露人入住，必須有一間位於（或附近）地表發光蘑菇生物群落（即，在 0 海拔以上）的空房屋。地表發光蘑菇生物群落並不會自然生成，必須由玩家手工創建。創建發光蘑菇生物群落需要有 100 格蘑菇草和蘑菇植物。^[1]

在 Desktop version, Console version, Mobile version, Nintendo Switch version, and tModLoader version中，當被敵怪威脅時，松露人會釋放出蘑菇孢子，它們會懸浮於空中並製造傷害。

如果有其他 NPC 正在等待入住，他們有可能搶在松露人之前住進發光蘑菇生物群落的家裏。如果是想要生成松露人，儘量確保有足夠的房屋供其他尚未入住的 NPC 使用。
房屋下方有太多腐化或猩紅可能會讓其變得無效。
要讓松露人搬進來，房屋必須位於地表發光蘑菇生物群落中。請注意這並不僅限於地表層，而是指任何高於 0 海拔的房屋——位於太空中的發光蘑菇生物群落和在海平面附近的房屋一樣好用。
松露人可以指派到其他房屋，只要新房屋也在發光蘑菇生物群落中即可。試圖將他移動到無效的房屋中會收到錯誤訊息"This housing does not meet the requirements for a松露人"。
在地表發光蘑菇生物群落被摧毀後松露人依然可以繼續留在房屋裏。可以利用這一點，在所有其他房屋和 NPC附近建立一個發光蘑菇生物群落，等他入住，然後摧毀這個發光蘑菇生物群落對應的物塊，這樣就能讓所有 NPC 在發光蘑菇生物群落之外待在一起。但是，如果松露人死亡，那就必須再重複進行一次此過程。
- 不能通過此方法將其安置在地下，需要在surafce蘑菇生物群落為他建個房屋，然後摧毀之，讓他自行尋找另一個房屋，這樣就能達成這一點。同樣，松露人死亡後需要重複此過程。
松露人是男性，可被國王雕像傳送。
